MEASURING GUIDE

STEP 1
MEASURE STAIRWAY LENGTH "1" (Fig.1)

DIRECTIONS - Using a tape measure, start at the top of the stairway and measure along the steps all the way down to the bottom floor/landing.

STEP 2
MEASURE STAIRWAY WIDTH (2)

DIRECTIONS - Measure the width of your stairway. We recommend a minimum of 30" for optimal comfort and safety. If your stairway width measures less than 30", please call us for technical advice.

STEP 3
MEASURE CLEARANCE AT TOP OF STAIRS
(For stairways with a door or other obstruction directly at top of stairs)

DIRECTIONS - If there is a door at the top of the stairs, measure the distance from the nose of the last step (beginning of landing) to the door.

NOTE:  If measured distance is LESS THAN 6 INCHES, please call us for technical advice.

STEP 4
MEASURE CLEARANCE AT BOTTOM OF STAIRS

DIRECTIONS - Measure clearance from last step to a door, opening, or anything that might interfere with the presence of the stairlift while sitting at the bottom of the stairs.

NOTE: If clearance (Fig. 1 - Measurement 3) is LESS THAN 24", please call us for technical advice.
